spot 2018 Brick

AIGA Orlando runs a mentorship program yearly called SPOT, where college students are paired with local designers and spend around five months creating a final project to be presented at the SPOT Showcase. A speaker is brought in to give a short talk to students and attendees, after which awards are presented. The big award is the SPOT Brick, presented to the student with the strongest project. Every year the SPOT brick is designed by a different artist, generally the speaker, but this year I was asked to create it.

I decided to play with it by pulling in my 100 Day Project theme, and created a boxcar from the brick and "graffiti" lettering. I don't ultimately work in analog all that often, but this was a fun exercise in experimenting and getting away from the computer.
